Data stored in your browser

FreeParchís stores your saved player name and the website’s colour preference in browser storage on your device. Its installable game also caches game files so local play can work offline. Clearing FreeParchís site data in your browser removes this local data and offline copy.

Online play

There are no accounts. When you create, join, or use matchmaking for an online game, the multiplayer server temporarily processes your chosen player name, room code, game state, and a temporary reconnect token so the room can work. This information is held in memory only: rooms expire after up to 8 hours of inactivity, and a disconnected player’s reconnect period lasts up to 10 minutes. Reloading the game does not restore an online room.

Player count

While a game is active, the app reports a random, anonymous browser-generated identifier and the number of human players to show the live player count. These reports contain no player names and expire within 75 seconds.

Website analytics

With your consent, the home page uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to measure aggregated website use. Umami does not use cookies or collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying account information for this site. It may process technical and usage information such as page visits, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address. The game page does not load this analytics script.

FreeParchís does not use advertising trackers and does not sell or share personal data for marketing. The Ko-fi link on the home page takes you to Ko-fi, whose privacy practices apply once you visit that service.

Server logs

Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure may create standard access and error logs, which can include technical information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and time of request. These logs are used for security and operation of the service.

Cookie choices

We use one necessary cookie to remember your cookie choices. You can accept or reject optional analytics in the banner; clearing this site’s browser data resets that choice.
